We have three important homework tasks throughout the year.
1. Read, Read, Read: Read every night with your child. Bagged books that are at your child's reading level will come home every night. Discuss the book with your child and sign the communication log. It is your child's responsibility to pick a new book every morning and return it the next day. We will begin this after the first four weeks of school.
2. High Frequency Word Lists: Your child must learn the high frequency words each quarter to become a better reader.
First Quarter: Pre-Primer
Second Quarter: Primer
Third Quarter: First Grade
3. Math Homework: Our Math Series, Investigations, has homework that reviews math concepts taught. Any math homework will always come home in the Friday Folder. It will be expected back the following school day.
